Hi everyone! Today I want to share you some fun ideas using amazing Nuvo Powders.
For this card I used layered dies from Altenew - Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set, watercolor paper and few of Nuvo Powders.
To embelish my card I used glitter dots and gel pens.
Close ups.
At first I prepared a card background from watercolor paper , size 14x11 cm, nuvo powders, and dies.
Nuvo powders are very concentrated color pigment, so you need just a small amount of them to create a bright backgrounds. I prefer to apply powder on a flat brush at first. For my first background I used pink and yellow colors.
And then I dab and mixing powders on the paper.
Next you need to activeate powder with a water, I used a small mists from Tim Holtz.
I dried backgrounds with heat gun to speed a process. On the left semple I add more water and got different look of a background. But on right one I love all tiny pigment dots and small splashes. All powders are multicolor powders, this means using one color you will get few different shades at ones.
Also, after water is dried you will get a beautiful shimmer on the background, I hope you can see this shine on a photo.
For leaves I choose green and yellow nuvo powders and repeat previous steps.
Next I cut a lot of flowers and lieves using Altenew floral dies.
All roses and leaves has beautiful shine!
For the card background I used blue powder. I applied a little bit of powder on a left top corner and smooshed it with a brush and add a water.
After it dries I get quick and pretty card background.
At last I adhere my flowers with foam adhesive and add stamped sentiment. To add more interest to the flowers I used black and white gel pen. I add few dots and stripes on them.
And my card is done!
Hope you like this tutorial and will try those amazing nuvo powders.
Have a greate day!
Galina
