today it is my turn to share my first two cards using the beautiful May 2018 card kit! This is by far my favorite - I am loving the colors, the stencil and the stamp set!
My two cards today feature the stamp set, the stencil and the beautiful Glimmer paste from Nuvo that comes in the kit!
I began by using the glimmer paste on white cardstock and am totally loving the rainbow glitter, depending on how the sun is hitting the card! I also used the stencil and paste on the light pink cardstock to see how it would look on colored paper and it is just beautiful!
I let the two pieces dry - the paste dries really quickly, I was super impressed. Usually I have to leave my cardstock to dry overnight but this paste was dry after I had finished my watercoloring.
I heat embosed the Altenew floral in white embossing ink on some watercolor paper. I then used Distress inks to color my two images in.
I only used three colors for the images - cracked pistachio for the leaves and stem, seedless preserves for the pink card and wilted violet for the white one.
I colored the image and let it dry and then went back with the same color but less water for the shading! I especially love how the pink one turned out!
To create my card bases I used the Outside in stitched scalloped die from Lawn Fawn and cut a circle out of my glimmer paste panels. For one card I used the large piece and on the other one I just used the circle and alligned it on top of the embossed design I created using the stencil in an embossing sandwich.
I added my sentiments, which I heat embossed in white on some black cardstock and used Nuvo Drops in Simply white to finish off my cards!
