Zsofia focused on a very fun technique creating a Faux metallic embellishment.

Let's hear what she says about it.

I die cut the Neat and Tangled Oak Leaf die several times from white cardstock and glued them together. I covered it with Versamark ink and poured on it Altenew Liquid Platinum embossing powder.


I repeated the process 3 times to get a thick, metal looking embellishment. I sponged some Broken China Distress Oxide on a white, textured stitched rectangle, distressed with water and flicked some distress ink on it for more interest.


I used patterned paper as a mat, and heat embossed the sentiment from the Oak Leaf stamp set on dark brown cardstock using white embossing powder. As embellishment I used clear sequins.

Isn't that card an absolute stunner?! I am super loving it and definetly need to recreate it!

Now onto my card - I used heat embossing in the super old fashioned traditional way.

I started by stamping my floral images from the Peony Bouqet stamp set from Altenew in Versamark ink onto watercolor cardstock. I then added white embossing powder and heat set it. What I love about the Altenew sets is that their lines are super thin and stay that way even after heat embossing, so details stay visible!

If you are just starting with watercolors I totally recommend trying it with a clean floral image and heat embossing, because you don't have to pay that close attention on where you paint. The embossed outline will prevent colors from bleeding into each other.


I colored my images with watercolors and then added my sentiment on top of the design. For that I used the Altenew Label love set and heat embossed my black sentiment with clear embossing powder for the appearance of a real shiny label.
