Hi Pink and Paper friends,
it's Laureen with you today and I am exited to share my first set of cards with you using the beautiful March kit featuring the Waffle Flower crafts Spring time stamp set.


Because I am horrible at fuzzy cutting with a white border I decided to make these into one layer cards and getting a little bit of dimension by adding my hello die.


For my first card I created masks for my images and stamped the florals in the order I wanted to position them on the card, with the bunny being in front and the florals lining up in the background.
I wanted to use as many of the images as possible, so I turned this card into a pretty long one.
It still fits into the regular longer envelopes!


Because I used Distress Inks to color my images I used watercolor paper from Arches as my card base and panel. I stamped every image in Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder for a super soft, pastel look.


I used the two awesome Distress Oxide inks from the kit to color in my background - the pink for the sky and the blue for the bottom. I simply used a wet paint brush and colored the background like you do with regular watercolors.


As a finishing touch I added a couple of sequins from Neat and Tangled and the hello die. For added dimension I die cut three hellos out of black cardstock and adhered them on top of each other - this kind of creates a chipboard look, which I love!
Finally I added Glossy accents on top of the word for even more interest, which then finished my first card.


Onto the second card.


I was going for the same look, but not the same layout. I created a top folding card with a cut out - again using watercolor paper.


I began by cutting a circle using a circle die - I made sure to only run it halfway through the die cutting machine, so that it would not cut out one entire circle.
I then stamped my florals in Versamark and embossed them in white.


I wanted some of the floral images to overlap my circle, so I used my scissors to fuzzy cut around my images.


I needed a place to put my die cut greeting so I adhered some vellum behind my circle and added some of the patterned paper behind it!


As a finishing touch I again added sequins and my word die and finished off the card!
